What's a Mother's Day without a mother? A celebration of other mothers, people who are mothers to me and the mothers that have left this earth.

It's a nurturing and empowering situation, those who inspire and influence others. A true sense of selflessness, a feeling that a mother embraces.

A protector of her young, a conqueror of disaster, a teacher, a leader, a volunteer, a chef, an artist, a mentor.

It is the wisdom of "mother" that is given to her children and others                  that resonates on this day...

Think Music!

Music is the universal language and evokes many emotions, feelings, memories. It's magical, mystical, moving! It has the power to console, heal and induce happiness. It conveys passion, rage and love!

Where do we draw our creativity from? The creativity that causes us to do what we do each day. Stop doing to open up to awareness, be in the moment, be present. Use all senses to experience, to explore, to discover what our greatest potential is.

There are sources we are drawn to that inspire us to be our best. Is it music, art, nature, people, places, experiences???

Harmony for progression

Fluid, insidious genres from the dawn of time to forever resonating in our brains. Many artists using sound to change the world.

My father the original networker…A Father’s Day Message

My Dad was an innovator of his time, he was my first business mentor. It’s awesome how things evolve and we learn from one another.

Joe Bruno was the original networker, in positions (sales/promotions) that required him to contact, communicate and retain a client base. Although Think and Grow Rich was around since the late 30s, I doubt many business people were aware of the writings as we are today. Networking in the 50s was without social media, the internet and every kind of device that assists us in business today. He developed these relationships initiated by his own desire and love for what he did (the way I perceived it as a young adult). I often accompanied him on various appointments/trade shows and observed how to be social and how to meet total strangers and connect. It’s a tough act to follow, but who’s acting…It was not something forced it was a genuine interest in supporting a company. I am not aware of a mission statement or value proposition that was in place, it was the fashion industry…very social and people wanted what he had because of him. SOCIAL…NETWORKING

Joe introduced me to many aspects of the sales world from people to process to promotion, He had fun with it so it did not seem like work. I often thought how great it would be to have such passion for what I  do that it does not seem like work. Here is where the real lesson is and I can proudly say that now I am an independent business owner…Café Realty.

Dad was a real influence on how to think differently.

The Art of Cooking and preparing meals is my innovation,  it involves strategy/preparing, execution/skill and love/passion. It is a time that my authentic self is captured in a process that yields something to be taken internally and therefore becomes a part of the recipient. A delicious sensory experience shared by all who are invited to sit at the table. The highest form of sharing my love, an ingested sentiment, and often taken for granted talent as just another meal providing nourishment...or just an invite to celebrate...A NOW experience.

The opportunity to dine with others, share a meal, submerge in culinary art is a privilege. Awareness of the passion for creating, serving and sharing with others is weaved into the fabric of life. A recipe is created, food is carefully crafted into that sensory experience and people are gathered to enjoy.

A father said to his child "I have a story to tell you"...
There once was a baby who was born into a world free from thought and judgment. The baby grew older and attended school as a young impressionable child. The child soon learned that we must share with others and that we are not the center of our own universe. The child became a young person and began to compare possessions to gain popularity and win. The young person on the edge of adulthood soon realized that it was selfish to want. The fledgling adult leveraged the popularity  so desired into purpose. A proactive, intrinsically motivated lifestyle developed and an adult human being evolved.
"What we focus on expands my child...live, love, learn...we will receive when we give it all away."

Give it all away for Fathers Day, children everywhere are impressionable and learn from those who surround them. In turn we all learn how to love and live.

With love, gratitude and appreciation for all who have fathered a child to adapt in a world  of challenge and opportunity.

At what point do we remove ourselves from the constant busy-ness of daily life? At what point are we no longer engaged? At what point is our mission so intensely focused that we seem to be swimming in a sea of blackness and that one laser point of light is miles away?

The decision to be engaged and dedicated to only one thing is a noble concept, a valiant effort, a romantic ideal to live out our life's purpose and is there any detriment?

The mission, honesty speaking, may be perceived as an egotistical appendage like some vanities, self serving and anti-contributory.There is a sense of aloneness in the awareness that once a participant in something so intense has now shifted its direction. It is,in all actuality, a  release from the importance once thought to be truth.The mission usurps with all its newness and grandeur and logistics. All other possibilities and ideas are relinquished to a shelf residing in memory.

AWARENESS of humanity and all its idiosyncrasies is an indicator that unconditional love prevails. I am not so sure how or why, what I am sure of is that it is different. The connection is now different, the dynamics are now different however the dedication remains the same. When others are engaged, able to be a support, and walk with each other, this creates a bond that elevates the cause. Simple appreciation and gratitude each and every moment sustains and maintains a relationship now so different.

Run towards your purpose with wild abandon...live out idealism...I'll always be engaged.
